RFID fixed asset management is the combination of RFID electronic tags (which give assets a unique "digital identity"), reading and writing devices, and management systems to achieve automated tracking and dynamic management of enterprise fixed assets (such as equipment, office furniture, IT assets) throughout their entire lifecycle from procurement and storage, daily use to disposal. The core solution is to address the pain points of traditional manual inventory, such as "time-consuming, error
1. Core components
• Hardware layer: Select tags based on asset type (anti drop PVC tags for ordinary assets, anti metal tags for metal equipment, anti tear tags for high-value assets), handheld readers (used for mobile inventory, asset requisition/return registration), fixed readers (installed in asset entry and exit channels to prevent unregistered items from being taken out), and desktop readers (used for information entry when assets are stored).
• Software layer: RFID fixed asset management system (core, including modules for asset information management, inventory task allocation, requisition and return records, maintenance and scrap management, data report generation, etc., which can be integrated with enterprise ERP/OA systems).
2. Key process applications
1. Asset inventory coding: After purchasing a new asset, the asset information (name, model, purchase date, value, responsible person) is written into an RFID tag through a desktop reader, pasted/attached to the asset, and the system automatically generates an asset file to complete the 'one item, one code' binding, avoiding manual input errors.
2. Daily dynamic management: When receiving/returning assets, use a handheld reader to scan the labels, and the system will update the user and storage location in real time; When repairing or transferring assets, simply scan the tags to update the status. Managers can check the current ownership and status of assets through the system at any time to prevent 'discrepancies between accounts and reality'.
3. Automated inventory: No need for manual item by item verification or handwritten recording. Staff use handheld readers to move and scan within the office area/workshop, and the system automatically recognizes labels and links them with the database
